I'm going to look at a 2000 Chevy Blazer tonight and it has 4wheel drive. I've never owned a 4wd before and I need to know what to look for when buying a used 4wd. Leaks, shifting or anything else that will help keep me from buying a lemon. Thanks.

Good luck and try the site carfax.com to check out the vehicle you are considering. I have a 2003 Chevy Blazer and really love it!

Just make sure it works. Unusual noises or anything like that. You could take it to a mechanic and they will check it for you. It will probably cost you, but if keeps you from buying a bad vehicle it will be worth it.

check out consumers reports on the vehicle. I had a 01 chevy trailblazer, had a lot of problems, emmisions, starter, 12 mpg, taillights.
