I suggest DELL website as they have the cheapest deals going and i sell a few laptops here and ther myself so i know when a laptop is cheap. So you should check the dell site nd either find a laptop with your specs or make 1.

For a system of that spec I would say look on e-bay or Craig's List. Used you can get anything in that range pretty cheap at almost give away prices. For a new one, you can pretty much get any lowest end model Dell (or other brand) you can find and you'll be more than OK. Also, if you buy new, you'll get XP pre-installed.

You can get a laptop from Circuit City for $549 its a Toshiba Satellite A135-S2276 with 80GB Harddrive, Vista, and DVD/CD Burner. Going any cheaper you will get a bad laptop.
