You don't give your age. It could be a hard thing to do to stay away from family if you are still a minor. Try to keep active and know you can't carry the weight of your loved ones on your shoulders. Give as much support and help as you can. If someone is pouring their troubles in your ear, set limits. Tell them "I can do only so much, I'll listen but after 15 minutes we need to talk about something else because this is dragging me down. You don't want that do you?"

I would have to say that you really need to keep your time limited around your family - even though it maybe hard. I would also think about changing your friends if they have the same impact on you as your family does. If none of these work see some type of counselor, maybe there is a problem with yourself that you don't realize. There are great medications out there that help with these type of problems as well. I would defiantly do something now before the problem gets worse. Good luck!

Without knowing all the details I can say that in my opinion you should walk away from nutty family members who may bring you to a bad place. I don't think it is as easy as that but it is the most sane thing to do sometimes. Sometimes you are not able to help with the different issues going on but you get brought into it or just listen and it has the ability to be real bad for you. I hope everything turns out well for you.

Depends whether you are old enought to distance yourself from your family a little.

Try to make some 'positive' friends to balance things out.
