A) By 'sig figs', do you mean 'significant? If so, SIGNIFICANT is the key word..... 2.2 pounds - the rest of the numbers are meaningless...
B) Why would anyone care in a world where only 3 nations, Liberia, Myanmar and USA still use the old Imperial system?

I am very skeptical of your reported conversion factor... According to the National Institute of Science and Technology (www.nist.gov) the exact conversion is:
1 kilogram = 2.205 pounds
I don't think there is anyplace more definitive than that...
good luck,

2.2 pounds to a kilo.
Hope that helps! When trying to figure it out roughly - just double it. But the exact figure, as far as I know, is 2.2. pounds to a kilo.
