I have been truing to conceive for 5 months now, this month will be the 6th....

I had my last period on the 1st of febuary in which i should be ovulating on the 14th, this month i have been using ovulation dip strips and i started doing them on the 11th 1st one came back negative, on the 12th i did one came back positive but both lines were very faint because the tast was positive does that mean i have missed my chance of falling pregnant this month? i have not managed to have sex this week due to my other half being away and will not be back till tomorrow 14th (ovulation day) do we still stand a chance?

Yesterday i had cramping on my sides but today i have not had very many at all, has my chance slipped out of my hands, any advice you can give me would be so good, can you tell me are my chances low?

I use this web-site myself when I’m trying to find my dates, but I put in the first day of your last period and put you on a 28 day cycle and this is your result, hope it helps

Here's your pregnancy planner!

MONTH 1:
2/01/07 - First day of your cycle
2/12/07 - A little bit fertile
2/13/07 - Fertile
2/14/07 - VERY fertile
2/15/07 - time to ovulate
3/01/07 - End of cycle
2/28/07 - A home pregnancy test may work now
3/04/07 - No period? Maybe you're pregnant!
11/07/07 - If you are, this is your approximate due date.

When you see a pos opk you will usually ovulate in 12-48 hours with 24-36 being most common. So, a pos. opk on CD12 means you most likely ovulated on CD13--today. You can still have sex tomorrow but it may very well be too late. When you ovulate it is best that you had intercouse 12 or so hours before ovulation so the sperm can be there waiting on the egg. Within hours following ovulation your cervical mucus dries up and turns hostile to sperm.

how strange i started my period on the 1st too!!! i tested today and got a neg but I'm still counting on ovulation occurring in the next 36 hrs. dont forget even if you ovulate tomorrow you still have 24 hrs to conceive as the egg stays alive for that long so no i dont think you've missed your chance this month. we're so alike, my hubby and i have also been trying for 6 months now. we've decided not to try next month as baby would be due too close to Christmas but I'm pinning my hopes on this month. good luck i wish you all the luck and let us know in 2 weeks if you get a pos hpt xxxxx

You may still have a chance, but your best bet would be to have sex every other day or every third day and not worry about when you're ovulating. Then it's more fun, and you'll always have active sperm inside you for when you DO ovulate. My step mother was going through the same thing you are, and then, when she decided to stop worrying about it, she got pregnant.

Don't worry if your thinking about it while your doing it then its in danger of becoming a chore and then its no fun. have spontaneous intercourse where ever and when ever you can try to put the fun back into it and get the pulse racing.

i don't think your chances are bad if you wait until tomorrow. sometimes women have pain like that when they are ovulating. take the test tomorrow and see what it says.

your chances should be pretty good especially tommorrow (ovulation day) and I think they will stay good for two days after ovulation.

I hope you fall pregnant soon, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
