What glove should I get if this is my first year playing in baseball?

I am playing high school. I am in 10th grade. I need one for try-outs and then I need to use that the whole season too.

I'd suggest an OFers glove. Unless you're playing middle infield (in which case you'd need a smaller glove), a large mitt is the way to go. Just go to your local sports store and try on a few different ones until you get one that fits.
If this is your first year, I'd definitely get the OF glove. They're probably not going to stick you in the middle of the diamond so soon, and you'll need an OF glove even if you're a catcher or 1B anyway, so might as well get one now.

If you are going to be playing middle infield or third, choose a smaller size, like a ten or eleven inch, if it will fir your hand. If you're going to be playing outfield, try a 13 inch, gives you lots of extra room. Just try and find one that is broke in already, Mizzuno has a great glove for about $85. If you want to catch or play first base, buy that specific glove, but not until you've made the team, they're really expensive. Good luck in try-outs!

It depends

First Basemen gloves are usually very big but not flimsy

other infielders gloves are usually less flimsy than 1B and smaller

Pitchers dont really need special gloves

Catchers mitts are much different and will be set aside from other gloves

Outfield gloves are usually inbetween 1b and inf for size but more flimsy

me, i play 2b, 1b, 3b, and OF so i know these things
