How to GET through the day without feeling miserable...?

I bought some V-Day gifts for some of my friends and I'm looking forward to giving them away. It always makes me feel better to make other people happy.

I feel you on that though... one of my roommates is actually someone I'm very interested in, and he's one of my best friends. We talked about a month ago about how we feel about each other, and he said it seemed like we were too different to be more than friends...and that if we got closer, we might grate on each other. Oh yeah, I moved in with them a week and a half ago, because he kept harassing me about it (I was looking for a place- it's cheap and clean, 5 mins from work...but still! lol)..figure THAT out.

I would suggest you just surround yourself with friends and enjoy your day. Rent a movie, get a bottle of wine...something. :) It's just another day. :)

Take care, and good luck!

Tips on surviving the horendous Valentines Day?

If you're old enough I'd say go for the booze but Im going to guess not so go splurge on ice cream or get a manicure or something special for yourself - you are more important to yourself than anyone else ever could be.

In my single days I used to do things for other people (i.e. buy roses for my female co-workers, take 2 or 3 single female friends out for dinner). I actually stopped dreading v-day after I started doing those things.

I dunno what to say... im looking at a pretty lousy V-day myself...

Let's face it... with out a boyfriend its going to be depressing no matter what... i say sit down on your couch with some chocolates an a big bag of popcorn and what a bunch of those old cheesy movies...

or if you have other single friends... have a girls night in... facials and manicures and all...

well... best of luck to you!
