Hip-hop is dying due to several reasons (in my opinion):

1. Lack of DECENT lyrics (besides crap like sex, clubs...and... sex)

2. Too much of the song's meaning or substance has taken a back seat to Synthesized beats.

However, it will Go On--- But I would rather hear more people like DMX, Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, Tupac Shakur, LL Cool J, etc. come and revolutionize hip-hop to a newer level.

Nah, Every generation want there own music associated with it. Disco, Rap, Hip-Hop, The music, style, and lyrics change along with the desire to make it their own, so It will evolve into another type of music, probably with more cussing, awful lyrics, woman demeaning satire but hopefully a good beat.

I hope so. Most hip hop is sampled from another song. I wish the artists would write their own music instead of ripping off other songs.
