In your browser, click on tools/internet options
You'll see the top of the first tab shows your homepage.
You can change it there to what you want it to be.

I bet you have two things going on at the same time. First you got some sort of scumware/spyware/adware that hacked up your browser to keep you from changing your homepage. Second you installed some Yahoo software and it gave you a checkbox to change your homepage to Yahoo, and you didn't uncheck it. Yahoo changed your homepage but it's not their fault you can't change back. That's my guess. You have spyware, you need to have it removed! Ain't Windows fun?

go to control panel and internet options then delete the home page and insert your own preference. Usually you will be invited to use Yahoo as homepage first, because the ppl at yahoo are very nice.

Crazy answers that blame the user for installing software that hijacks. The thing is, Firefox allows a back door that alters the search engine and does not allow the user to correct it. That is not how it is supposed to work. Firefox has allowed hijackers to force the user into one search engine while blocking the ability to change or delete the search engine which the user does not want..
