Please understand that just b/c you are ready and on your period now doesn't mean that you will conceive now.
However you need to be having sex as soon as your period is light. You will ovulate the 14th day after your first day you started your period. However it will take more than one try to conceive...so you need to have frequent sex I would recommend atleast until several days after the day you ovulate.
Use positions that will not allow the sperm to come right out afterwards as well. Like from behind or lift your legs higher if in missionary. Sperm does not fall out quickly when laying on ones side. Oh your hormones will also do some talking for ya. You will feel like haveing sex pretty often and that will tell you that you're soon to ovulate. After ovulating you may lose that sensation.
May seem a little graphic but you asked.

Usually 14 days after you first start your period is your most fertile period. That is assuming you have a 28-day cycle. But there are other things that help you know when the timing is right like your temperature down there will be at it's highest. Here is a link that tells you other ways to know when the timing is right.
Good Luck

Most women ovulate approximately 14 days after the first day of their periods - BUT this is absolutely not true for all women. The only ways to know for sure when you're ovulating are to monitor your personal fertility signs (basal or waking temperature, cervical mucous, etc.) or to use ovulation predictor strips (there's a link below for inexpensive strips.) I highly, highly recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, which details everything you need to know. Best of luck to you!

I WOULD TRY AT DAY 6 8 10 12 14 AND 16. I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUHAVE TO PENCIL IT IN AND THAT IT PROBABLY TAKES A BIT OF THE ROMANCE AWAY. THE OTHER WAY IS BUYING A OVULATION PREDICTOR KIT AND WHEN THE LINE SHOWS UP YOU HAVE 12 TO 36 HOURS FOR OVULATION. I RECOMMEND BUYING THE KIT PERSONNALLY I DID NOT THINK I NEEDED IT BUT WHEN YOU KEEP TRYING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND NOTHING HAPPENS IT GETS VERY DEPPRESSING.
TRY AND KEEP IT FUN AND RELAX.

The best thing you could do is buy a ovulation kit. It worked for me. In fact with the kit I found out that I ovulated 3 days sooner than I thought. Good Luck to you

it depends on your cycle- everyone is very different, but about a 10 days before your next period is when you're most fertile. buy a ovulation kit, they work wonders. my friend tried for 6 months to get pregnant and then she bought a kit and found out that she was fertile 2 days after she had thought and then boom, it worked. good luck.

start trying in about 10 days or so...
but then again, everyone is different
keep track of your period and use the "rhythem meathod" to try to predict the days you're ovulating. vaginal discharge increases when you're ovulating. look up ovulation on google, and you can learn how to predict your ovulation days
