I need the best way to start up my own website. I'm trying to set up a science type website, if that makes any difference. Cheaper is better, free is best. I have better than basic computer skills, just not the time to search and experiment. Thanks.

I use freeservers.com. They have free websites available and easy templates. Therefore, if you want, you can just do a fill in the blank sort of thing, and it ends up looking great.

If you are good with html language, you can do your website that way too. Here are some of the websites I set up on freeservers for myself and family members:

When you do a free website, you are going to get the ads along with it. That is your "price."

If you want, you can go into the Yahoo community somewhere and they will give you some server space and tools to build a site. This type of thing is available elsewhere, also. I've heard it is free. Otherwise, you need to buy a domain and have the URL hosted - at which time you start building the site. Maybe using Dreamweaver.
