Many people today fall within this category(doing jobs for the money), but the few that can face the challenge and do what they like wether it brings money at the moment or not. end up doing what they love doing and making much money. a footballer for instance enjoys himself playing football and also ends up collecting so much.

Doing that puts us under tremendous stress--which is very unhealthy. We become terribly unhappy, and are likely to take that out on everyone we need to deal with. Anxiety, irritability and depression can result, as well.

-We can be looking for another job while sticking this one out just to get the bills paid.
-We can sign up with employment agencies, put our resumes on Monster.com, Jobs.com, CareerBuilders.com, etc.
-We can also be checking out the newspaper each day to see what's in the employment classifieds.
-We can also check out the unemployment office--as they usually have lists of open jobs in all fields.

This job might be something we really dislike doing--or the work may be okay, but the co-workers and/or bosses are unbearable. Maybe we just hate the hours that we need to work at this job. Nevertheless, we need to find something else.

Some people wind up getting two part-time jobs--in different types of businesses. Then they get to know which type they like, and which they don't. I know of three people who did this for a while, when they left jobs that just made them miserable.

There are many types of jobs out there. I knew someone who delivered newspapers from 4AM until about 8AM, and then worked as a receptionist from 12 Noon until 5 PM. This made her much happier than the eight hours she worked per day in an insurance office, prior to that. And, she didn't feel as though she was working as many hours, even though she was working more.

Start looking for something you do want to do. 40 hours a day 50 weeks a year for 20 years at something you hate is a sentence not a job.
