like astronauts or people from nasa. not some random person looking though a telescope. this is for a project at school. pls help!!!!

Several agencies are assisting in Spacewatch, which is cataloging all Near Earth Objects (NEOs - which are mainly asteroids) larger than 1 km. NASA is coordination the exercise.
They are also detecting lots of smaller asteroids than 1 km and reporting on them also.

Check the following page on wikipedia that I put a link to. There is a lot on asteroids as well as a lot of pages and who is involved in tracking and studying asteroids.
