Nitzy, Ronaldo currently is the best player in the world, and is much higher than Deco as well as buck-toothed Ronaldinho in my opinion. Ronaldinho's the most over-rated footballer we know today. He cannot created opportunities. Spends more time on the ground rather than running...
Ronaldo use to show-boat, but look at him now. It seems as if the World Cup quickly matured him, and he's only behind Drogba in most goals scored. I think that's great for any midfielder. He's dropped the tricks for the most part, and now gets the rest of the team involved, helping United maintain 1st in the premiership, and resulting in him being obviously one of the best players this season.
As for the original question, United is big enough. At the same time however, he has to realise that the Premier League isn't going to throw it's entire budget at him to keep him in England, like the MLS did to get Becks. Former red, Djemba-Djemba, has advised him to stay, dunno if you read that or not. He honestly needs to stay though, a great sum of money shouldn't be seriously thought about if he's wondering whether or not to remain at OT.
United fans, the atmosphere, it's all one of a kind. Imagine if he played for Barca or Real, and got a Spaniard sent of during the World Cup. He'd be seen as the ultimate backstabber, and wouldn't be playing for La Liga any longer. He needs to think about that. I think that'll be an issue as well if they are trying to persuade him to stay. It got Heinze to stay, hopefully it'll be the same for him.

I think that you are giving C. Ronaldo too much credit. He's a great player but I don't think that he is in the same category as Deco and Ronaldinho. You can tell by the way he plays that he isn't a mature enough player to play with the Spanish clubs. I say, give it a few years and then he'll probably be off to Spain

C. Ronaldo is a man of talent, ambition, and loyalty...but if his current club don't start showing him some REAL appreciation towards that, he might as well leave without hesitation...surely obvious that rivals are way more keen than Man Utd appear to be...

i think they are, not just Beccause of the money part but, for the fact that real or beca don't really need ronaldo ow they have player to occupied that wing who he's gonna replace at both clubs? i think Ferguson has set his mind to keep him, he got big things for ronaldo if he can just uderstad that united is a big team as well as the Spanish gaint. he would have been a fool to leave united for both Madrid or Becca, but he's not a fool, is he?

Cris doesn't know how to be team player. I don't think players from other FCs would give him that advantage. So since Man U doesn't have any problem with that, then he's in the right team.
