I am doing a course in uni at the moment, but i really am interested in nursing and thinking of changing...however i am not sure i would pass the medical...does anyone know what they do, or what they look for when doing this???

you will have an occupational health check at the university when you are accepted, your gp will also have to fill out a questionaire just to make sure you don't have any psychological problems such as eating disorders, self harm, sever depression. Physical problems that th OH dept might look at would be any back, shoulder, spine injuries. Any problems won't mean you definately cant do course. This website is very very helpful

Medical exam?
Do you mean a medical exam that a doctors does in order to say you are healthy enough to work with patients?

Or are you talking about a written test you take on medical subjects? Because nurses are tested on medical subjects they are tested on nursing subjects. There are some similarities but the perspective is very different.

It's not much of a medical, don't worry, they are desperate for nurses, you'll pass.

olivianna..dont worry its a very simple test...i am myself doing medicine and i can assure u that anyone who has ever read biology shouldnt have any problem...so grab the opportunity and u never know we might someday work together...
