There are plenty of things you could talk about Is there anything you particularly enjoy you could tell others about. Maybe some aspects others may not think of. Or how about a specific person? You could tell others about that person and their accomplishments. How about a place, such as a country, or such as a specific destination such as the Grand Canyon. There are tons of options.
If you wanted to pick someone people may not know much about, pick a historic person from the past. People know general ideas about people mixed with many myths. But you could paint a more real picture of what the person was like.
You could take a person that is portrayed in a movie and tell people more of what they were really like than just what has been portrayed in that movie. (For example, a movie such a Tombstone tells people a little about people such a Wyatt Earp. You could talk about the portrayal of him in the movie and then tell them you want to introduce them to the historic figure who really was Wyatt Earp and paint a very real and different picture than what they may have thought.)

I used to be on our speech team at high school and the big hit in informative speaking was recipes. You tell people how to make something you like to eat. You do a little demonstration--teachers love props and it gives you something to do with your hands!. Then you pass out samples. They'll love it.
Make sure that you inform and you don't go over into persuasive. To speech teachers this is a totally different type of speech. Because of that you need to stay away from any topics where you are trying to "prove" your point of view on something. So avoid, politics, religion, abortion etc., etc. It seems a little gray to most people but a speech teacher will slam you down if you start to preach your point of view during an informative speech.

I did one on PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Most people think that only war veterans suffer from it. Actually, a lot of women and kids who have gone through sexual abuse or rape deal with it. It applies to any traumatic event. A lot of symptoms. I suffered from it for a long time.

I did mine on CPR/First Aid. Any topic you are passionate about is interesting. If you are passionate about it you will make it interesting to everyone else.
