I can't understand how Britain is still rich, for example, there's no demand for coal, and no manufacturing is done in Britain anymore.

Normaly First class countries, like USA and Britain started being a country with a lot of industries. On these days they dont have a lot of industries there but they are still rich cuz the country become a country of services, this oen of the categories that brings more money to the country, increasing the PIB of the country.
Also because they economic stabilishment(no big crisis), they strong coin and a big etc.

Why are you stuck in the mode of thinking that only coal mining and heavy manufacturing creates wealth? That's ludicrous. Everything that profitably serves a real consumer need creates wealth.

The UK economy is well diversified doing a lot of things that profitably serve consumer needs, so it is relatively wealthy as a result. What's hard to understand about that?
