If you mean the Air Craft carrier Ark Royal of the British Royal Navy, Battle Ship Gray above the water line then just on the water line a four feet wide Black line running right around the ship, amid ships the plimsoll mark is painted on this, also fore and aft are depth marks, below the water line, anti fowling paint which is red. Do you mean the Ark Royal ?
Most recently the name of an Aircraft carrier, but has been the name of a few different boats in history

If you mean the Ark Royal, that's a Royal Naval Vessel, so it would be grey, above the waterline... and anti-fouling-coloured below :-)
