I think there is a definite plus to being alone: you don't have to buy anyone gifts. LOL, just kidding. The plus is that you learn to make yourself complete, rather than waiting for a relationship to do that for you. What do you think?

V-day is a man made day for people to show how much they love someone. No one need to tell you when to say i love you are i got you this gift because i love you.You should be able to do those things on any day everyday you can show someone how much you care for them not on day a year. And as far as being alone some times alone is best. When God send you that someone that is right for you you will know. You are never alone, think about loving you first than you will know that you are not alone

I hate Valentines Day. True, you don't have to blow money buying cheesy gifts for anyone, but I don't really care. I'd much rather be with someone than see all of the happy couples walking around. It makes me sick. If you're alone, you're deeply reminded of the fact, and if you're with someone, you are totally expected to be romantic on that day, which really isn't romantic at all.

I have to agree with you there, I think it's almost human nature to look for someone to save us. Plus it always happens in the movies. As much as I want to believe in true love and one person for everyone soppy stuff, I never think that's going to happen until I am completely happy alone, which for once I think I might well be! I can't afford to be buying silly cards :D

I completely agree!!! I'm alone and probably will be alone the rest of my life. Many people think they can't make it alone and end up in a terrible relationship, just so they won't be alone. As for me, I've learned to adapt quite well and now enjoy my solitude. (but of course, when a man gets old and "fuggly" like me, he has no other choice)

I'm thankful to be single or alone...because i see so many disturbed relationships around me..yeah it gets a little lonely at times...but i would much rather be alone then stuck in a relationship with someone who treated me bad!

I really think it's overrated. Hallmark holiday is a good term. My husband and I celebrated our first v-day together and since it's just been "happy valentines day!" in the morning. Honestly, I would much much much rather get flowers on a random day because he thought of me not because he felt obligated to.
