I live in North east Indiana and we are under a level 2 snow emergency and I would like to know what that means. I don't know what all the levels are either. Can anyone help?

According to 2/13/07 Ft. Wayne Journal Gazette, each county has its own system. For a listing, just "google" "Indiana snow emergency levels" and the article should be available. Otherwise, go to fortwayne.com and the click on Journal Gazette. I only know this because I had the same question and did some searching.

Not from Indiana, but I'm from Ohio, and probably having the same stupid snow as you are! ;)

In Ohio, Level 2 means that the roads are hazardous and you should only drive if absolutely necessary. Not sure how the roads are in Indiana, but here in NW Ohio they're looking pretty nasty.

Keep warm and safe!

Here are the levels
Level one You can still travel but slow down
Level two Emergency travel and two & from work only
Level three No travel at all.

I think level three does allow for exception if you are a snow remover, a hospital worker, Ambulance driver/worker, law enforcement, or Fire worker. They are still allowed to drive. What gets me is employers who ignore level three snow emergencies.
