Sweet finally I get to vent. Plus please mention me in the credits cause this game will rock...if you are into fantomedy... fantasy comedy lol...

Ok you are the dragon, and a quest has come down from the elders....

You must travel to a far and away land to slay the evil "virgin" princess before she can trick the world into making her president...

O.K. now you have the main theme. Run with it. And don't forget me eh....

It sounds a little like Spyro, really, but if It's on the computer I'm guessing it's a side scroller.

You could always take a different approach and have the dragon save the princess from the evil prince.

Have the dragon breathe fire on the little knights, help to start fires for cold peasants in the forest, and destroy water demons by boiling them with your flames for a boss level.

So the dragon is good for once, and the people are bad.

And at the end you could have the dragon fight the Prince's army to save the Princess and take her away.

Then as a comedy piece at the end, have the dragon and princess in their bathers at the end, sipping cocktails on the beach. As one last challenge, have a mini game to see how many margharitas you can drink before puking on the princess.

Quest for the Fire Fuel? The special ingredient that makes the powerful fire churn within them....its been taken by The Evil Wizard Zint who has demanded that the King of the Dragons "Drago" betray the treaty with the humans and join him on his Evil conquest for World domination. He holds in his Magical Fortress Drago,s Wife Queen Leeana and there newborn Princess Yardia. He threatens to kill them both if he does not join his evil forces........some of the lower level Dragons have already joined forces with the evil Wizard to overthrow Drago and the Royal family. Drago and his son Prince Shuken have formed an allegience with the King Edward of the Humans to rally his Flying Dragons to subdue the Evil Forces and win back the special chemicals that were stolen from there Mountain Empire by the rebel Dragons seeking power of there own.The sake of the entire Worlds Dragons and relationship with the humans is at jeopardy..........Only Drago and His Son Shuken can gather the remaining forces to overthrow the Evil Wizard and get the balance back along with the fire fuel for true power. Secretly King Drago hid surplus supplies of this fire fuel in special bunkers throughout the Empire for emergency situations and strategic advantages. Little did he know he would have to fight his own dragons and a Evil Wizard for control of his own powers. The story begins as it is played out.........hope this helps out???

I have a couple of thoughts on this. Hope they help. 1. I recommend finding information on Artifacts and Relics for AD&D (any edition). The Orbs sound like they could be artifacts (if you want them to be), and they have properties that, if thoughtfully chosen, could generate interesting story elements. These properties (if you're not familiar with them) include both unpredicted benefits as well as unforseen downsides to using an artifact. 2. Another thought, to capitalize on a previous answer; Invent "Wild Psionics"? 3. Finally, if they have to find an orb, rather than create one, maybe the party needs to face the orb's abilities before they can control them. The orb may defend itself or test the party by - as you say - playing off their fears to defeat them. This could work really well as a story and roleplaying device if you know the characters well.

How 'bout a dragon that breathes frost instead? As for setting, how 'bout an urban place. You decide, it all comes from your honest imagination & be original. Watch out for cliches, though.
