This is a new lap top containing windows xp. My previous lap top with the installed itunes 6 has been disposed.
I have lost the installation disc which came with my i pod.
I have tried downloading itunes 7

I would try re-downloading Itunes
Make sure you have picked the version for windows and not the MAC version
Check your PC matches the specification that Itunes needs
You could try searching for an Itunes 6 download on other sites

I have had the same problem, the website has not yet been updated 100 per cent, I have been informed, by a computer buff.
