My twins arrived two months early at 29 weeks. A full term pregnancy is 40 weeks.

I became very ill with Pre-eclampsia and I was in danger of losing my life.I did not do anything to cause this.
The babies were 2 lbs 11 oz and 2 lbs 4 oz.
It was a long road but they did very well.
They are now 17.

The baby should be in the womb for as long as possible. Don't force the issue...for the health of the infant. There are reasons why gestation is normally 9 months, such as the development of certain organs, etc. Walking is good for you. Intercourse can be uncomfortable, you can engage in other forms of pleasure, per se....but sex shouldn't be used to 'cause' a baby to come 2 months early. Be patient. It will be over soon.

I apologize in advance if I"m taking your question the wrong way, but no one in their right mind would want to have their child 2 months early. It's horrid for the child's health, and some premature children have development disabilities later in life.

I had my son at 33w 1d after a car accident. We were driving thru walmart parking lot to go buy groceries and a 89 year old woman ran right into our truck. My blood pressure shot up really high after the wreck(I had been to the OB that AM, it was fine then) and they couldn't get it down for a week and they had to take him.

He's now 11 months and he's fine. He was a little slow crawling, but he's perfectly on schedule with everything else.

This question really concerns me. Are you trying to make it come early? I certainly hope not! While it is possible for a baby to survive if born this early, they usually always have a lifetime of health problems. I'm not 100% sure what you're really asking, but just remember, baby's are gifts from God and should be treated as such.

It just happens sometimes. I honestly don't think there's any way you can make it happen for sure.

The baby comes when they are ready usually.

The only thing I can think of for a baby to come early is just mother nature or something wrong with your pregnancy (high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, and a few other things)

My baby girl (my youngest) was born 6.5 weeks early. This was due to my pre-eclampsia, which also caused her to have VERY low amniotic fluid. At 33.3 weeks her fluid levels had fallen to 1.8cm ( 10 cm) is average. Because her levels were so low she had to be delivered by c-section (she was also breech). Essentially her organs were on the brink of failing all together. She was born healthly, although she did have low muscle tone, which caused her to be in the NICU for 3 weeks.

yea my sister gave birth to my nephew at 31 weeks. He was in the nicu for 2 months. But was overall pretty healthy. He needed help breathing for about 2 weeks, but he's a happy healthy 8 year old boy now :). She found out she went into labor because her cervix wasnt able to support the baby, as she had cervical cancer cells. she had surgery on her cervix to remove these cells before she became pregnant, and due to the surgery she wasnt able to carry the baby to term.

my mom had me 2 months early. i weighed 4 lbs. she says its because my dad wanted to have sex even later in the pregnancy. shes positive that is what weakened the membrane (is it a membrane?) and made her water break 2 months early- i still had my feet down- she had to have an emergency c-section!

but walking cannot cause that to happen, no.
