Well, actually, the un-seen structure (if that's what you want to call it) birds have in common is hollow bones. Their skeletons
are designed to maintain buoyancy during flight. Even flightless
birds like Emus, Ostriches, and Penguins have porous bones.

I guess feathers, but I thought they are also the only animal that has hollow bones...
