LATEST: Disgraced British rocker GARY GLITTER's three-year sentence for child molestation in Vietnam has been reduced by three months - he will be free in August 2008. Glitter - born PAUL FRANCIS GADD - was convicted of committing "obscene acts with children" last March (06) and was reportedly recommended for early release last week (02FEB07), instead of serving the full-length of his sentence until November 2008

As feared 'it' is getting an early release. Who is willing to heavily lobby the Home Secretary to see that 'soft touch' decisions, such as those which have recently have been the case regarding known paedophiles, are NOT repeated? Will John Reid again allow such vermin to walk among YOUR children ??

In answer to you question, yes John Reid will probably allow him to walk among our children.

It drives me mad and angers me so much that we give such ridiculous prison sentences to these people. Or allow British people that have done these types of crimes to come back IE Gary Glitter.

Only the other day on Yahoo I read a story about somebody getting Life because they killed someone, and then at the end of the article it said he had to serve a minimum of 3 years and 8 months.??? Life should be Life and if we don't have enough room in the prisons then we should start hanging people

What about the evil man that 'Raped' a 6 week old baby and he got 8 years (which was increased by 2 years as the original judge gave him 5) ????

They should all be shot or hung...

And to all the 'PC' people and Human Rights activists blah blah who think that Capital Punishment is wrong for Paedophiles etc etc and think they should be and can be re rehabilitated.........**** you.

To be honest, I wonder whether child abusers should ever be released. When I hear of child offenders, offending (such a polite word) because they were out and about but under some supervision order I realise how crazy our society is that it accepts a system that has grown men being supervised 24/7 because they can't keep their hands off small children. I'm not advocating a 'hell-on-earth' style punishment for these men - just keep them away from society and let it be our children who are free to go out and about and stay safe.

Our govs views on punishment sucks in every respect, convicted paedofiles, murders and rapests are free to reoffend and often do it's about time these sick minded people are given real life sentences and in some cases the death penalty should be granted
