I mean, at the beggining MTV was a big shot. They passed the best music videos, their shows were the best, in other words you weren´t a teen if you didn´t LOVE MTV. However nowadays they hardly play any music videos, it´s only about shows and commercials. There is so many excelent music out there, and it seems that MTV "just forgets" about it.
Shouldn´t it be cool if MTV played the role like simon and paula do (american idol judges), looking up constantly new tendencies and styles in music and start playing them.

MTV should stand for Mindless TeleVision....I hate it. Nothing but reality shows and nonsense...theres never any music but the want us to believe that they are the worlds leading music channel. The people that make desicions at MTV should re-evaluate what the people want. Road Rules sucks,sweet 16 Sucks, and everything else...I cant say it enought ....I DONT want My MTV!!!!!

I totally agree with you. It's sad that they had to come out with "MTV 2" that plays a little more music videos, but the majority of the time, is just an extension of "MTV"...I miss the MTV that used to actually promote MUSIC.

MTV makes me mad. They're totally whoring out to the teeny boppers. Back in the day, they played music that my mother loved as well as what I was into. That was awesome because we could watch together. When I have a daughter, if she's into MTV, I'll have to drown her. Simple as that.

MTV dont even hardly play any music videos anymore its all just reality shows and when they do play videos they the ones that sux ...hip-hop pop rock top 40 bullchit ...I watch VH1 at least they play music i like

It shouldn't even be called MTV anymore -- it's horrible and they promote horrible behavior for the teens who do watch it.

I cherished it even as it first began, and they positioned an attempt into beautiful to each and every of the visitors, and not in any respect purely the rap/hip-hop followers. i have not watched it in years because each and every time I turn it on, it truly is a similar element.
