Ok, so now the police are expected to apologise for the arrest of two brothers one of whom was shot. Well, NO.....no apology should be given. It's ok for people to preach hatred and threats to kill on the streets of England and Great Britain and nobody feels the need to make an apology. However, when police act, in our interests I might add, they are scorned and accused of God knows what. These people who cry out about the police would soon demand to be protected if something was going on at the top of their road and then the police would be the best thing since sliced bread. Apologise....NO. What are we, going to roll over everytime somebody is upset, I don't think so. Men fought for this country, men died for this country and men and women are still dying for this country. Don't start calling me a racist, if you do you've completely missed the point of what I am saying. I'm proud to be English, I'm proud to be white and I'm proud to be part of our great nation.

"I give you a toast, ladies and gentlemen.
I give you a toast, ladies and gentlemen.
May this fair dear land we love so well
In dignity and freedom dwell.
Though worlds may change and go awry
While there is still one voice to cry - - -
There'll always be an England
While there's a country lane,
Wherever there's a cottage small
Beside a field of grain.
There'll always be an England
While there's a busy street,
Wherever there's a turning wheel,
A million marching feet.
Red, white and blue; what does it mean to you?
Surely you're proud, shout it aloud,
"Britons, awake!"
The Empire too, we can depend on you.
Freedom remains. These are the chains
Nothing can break.
There'll always be an England,
And England shall be free
If England means as much to you
As England means to me. "

God Bless you English Lady, for your well stated question!

I think the whole terrorist issue has been a pain in the backside for our police purely and simply because it's all so political and they have politicians breathing down their necks. Police are no longer allowed to just get on with things, they have to give press conferences, day by day accounts of what they've discovered etc etc. Having said all that - they can't go around shooting people - it's not on and too like the Americans.

What i find disturbing about the whole affair was that the police had it on good information that these people were terrorists. The guy who gave them that information was probably paid a lot of money to tell lies. One guy was already shot dead on the underground. Also no weapons of mass destruction found from intelligent information, who's next?

Hi Julie G ,, Thanks for your Great Question --- It,s so good to see you express Common sense and practical "Reality" ---- It pains me to see this ever Increasing Denigration of our Police Force and our way of Life being Eroded and Suppressed DAILY , by the "Enemy Within"--- The constant Preaching of Death and Destruction to our Population in Mosques and so called "Religious" Centres , on our Streets --- This is the Truth --- But as you so rightly say , every time we White English open our Mouths we are called "Racist" -- when in fact we are the victims of "Racism" - Propaganda against us -- Whinging ,Whining Complaints against us Re-- Prejudice , Unfairness , in fact it would appear that the daily Criticism is Non Stop whatever we do to Protect Ourselves against Evil Radicals , Terrorist Bombers and all those that wish to do us great harm and Destroy our way of life and our country --- I have recently been "Awarded" three violation Notices for telling it as it really is - so I expect this Answer will go the same way ----The "Truth" Is only allowed to be to told from one point of view ---We musn,t "Offend" anyone --- Just allow ourselves to see our country and way of Life Being destroyed ... Good Luck to you and the other Like Minded Folk who have replied to your Posting ....

I don't think the police should apologise but I do think that we should be looking to see where this dodgey intelligence is coming from,is it the same people that gave us WMD and 45 minute strikes. If so isn't it about time they were sacked.

Not much of a question.

And yes, they should apologize. Not for raiding the building, but for being so careless with their firearms. Shooting a man accidentally is hardly the mark of a seasoned professional.
