cravings are ways of telling you want you need (according to my doc), if you need ice cream maybe you need calcium and iron... just go with them! lol i craved ice cream and spicy mexican food.. odd huh?

Well, it's natural to crave certain things when you're pregnant. It seems the cravings are different for each person. I craved milk like there was no tomorrow. I drank more than a gallon a day during my entire pregnancy. I even cried when it was late at night and we ran out. Right after I gave birth, the cravings were gone.

So, just enjoy your ice and don't worry about it! You're perfectly normal!! :)

It's a mineral deficancy...so they say. And, ice is calcium. But, I wouldn't worry about that I'm sure your taking prenatals. And, logic tells me if your body needed calcium you'd crave milk, yogurt, cheese or something more sensible!

Yep, it is natural. With my first I was eating tons of ice and now with my second I go to sonic's drive in and order a route 44 cup full of ice!

I remember doing that my first pregnancy, I would not just suck on it, I would chew it--I loved the crunch. When I'm not pregnant my teeth are too sensitive to chew ice.

craving ice is a sign of low iron levels...your baby is sucking up all your iron....get more iron.
