Why do they read about what will happen in the future. Seems to take the point out of watching it really. Im not having a go i dont like them myself (The soaps not the people) doesnt it spoil the story to know what happens ?

NO not really,it makes you look forward to watching it especially if u know whats going to happen. The tv ratings wouldn,t be so high if people never knew what they were going to watch.

Its just that after a while you really get into the storyline and get into the characters. The way that they make them also leaves you in a cliffhanger situation and quite gripped. Its hard to explain why, but its a bit like a hobby. As to why some read ahead... probably just cos they have so much excitement from the last episode and just "cant wait."

I understand, just like everything else, soaps are for some kinds of people only.

A lot of people like to know the story before it happens, its like seeing into the future....They might as well read about it first it will probably stop them from watching it

I watch eastenders, corry & home & away but hate to know what is going to happen, I usually have a pretty good idea but I couldn't read a mag to find out before it happens, it spoils the programme.

I don't real spoilers. I don't want any evil future knowledge as I call it. Reason being is that it ruins the plot and purpose of viewing the show in the first place. It's like reading the end of the book before the beginning.

I know!! I follow Coronation Street and if anyone starts talking about what they've read will happen, I stick my fingers in my ears and sing!

Sometimes when I'm reading a magazine, I catch a glimpse of a headline that gives it all away too! Arghh!!

I avoid watching them like the plague, because I know they are addictive, and I don't want to be addicted to that time wasting nonsense, I've got my life's problems to think about, with out watching other peoples fictional ones. I'm usually busy when they're on anyway.

will be a toss up between Emmerdale and Corrie, yet Emmerdale is somewhat ahead. They both were given the steadiness perfect with intense and comedy... yet Eastenders, god that is so depressing!!!!!!!!!! all of them choose anti depressants! do no longer watch it now, truly interpreting about that is depressing sufficient!
