I have a huge collection of probably a thousand or more diecast cars of just about every kind you can imagine - Hot Wheels, Matchbox, ERTL, Maisto, Kidco, TootsieToy, you name it. Dates ranging from the 60's all the way to now. My question is, what is the best way to sell them? Date, Brand or Type? I'm not a collector so I don't know how people generally collect these. I know it probably varies but I'm wondering "in general"? Any advice?

(And I have been researching via Ebay but there are so many ways to list I just wanted some opinions) Thanks.

Just wanted to clarify - I am going to sell them on ebay. I was wondering what was the best way to divide them because I didn't want to sell them as one large group. Is it better to sort and sell by date (70's, 80's, etc), brand (Matchbox, Hot Wheels, etc) or type (construction, emergency, truck, corvette, etc)

ebay, or an auction house. You can always place a reserve to make sure you get your price.
