People can be selfish and cruel. Don't worry--if kharma exists, then they will experience the same hurt you're going through.
What have we learned? Protect your heart! You may never know another person's true feelings, which is why you need to be sure of who you are. Why do you need to be sure of who you are? Because if some heartless wench rips your heart out and stomps on it, then you won't have too much of a problem getting back your confidence. When you know yourself and what makes you happy, then you can focus on that instead of what another human being did to you!
