Okay, last week I was pretty sure I had the flu. I had sore throat with dry coughing, slight fever, diarrhea, no appetite and completely fatigued. Now, my temp. is still elevated a little but not high enough to be considered a fever (my body temp. usually stays around 97.6 and now it's still at 99.1) and I'm still fatigued but not as bad. Everything else has disappeared except for a nagging dull headache that I can't get rid of, still not much of an appetite and I've gotten dizzy a couple of times in the last 2 days. My period is not due for about another 1.5 weeks (I have a 38 day cycle so if I ovulated 14 days after the date of my last period I'd still have about 3 weeks left before my period is due). So could I just still be getting over the flu or should I go see the doctor?

It sounds like you have some sort of virus. With pregnancy, you may have nausea, headache, fatigue but the other symptoms are not typical.

Well, if you are pregnant it is possible to get more colds because when you are pregnant your bodies immunity is less than before you were pregnant. However, I would not associate it totally with pregnancy, as it is not always an indication of pregnancy. It is most likely a flu. There were other symptoms, but for me, I knew I was pregnant because I never got sick. Also, there were other indicators, I was moody, my boobs hurt, I had almost cramp-like symptoms (similar to having period cramps). However, the diarrhea is not usual even in pregnancy (though some people sometimes have diarrhea while preggo). Also, a little later in pregnancy some women get nose bleeds and stuffy nose. This is probably due to the higher levels of estrogen in pregnant women. However, if you still think it is possible, I would wait a few weeks and take a pregnancy test if you do not have a period. I thought I could be pregnant because I had a cold. Well, I could not wait and my hubby bought me a few pregnancy test. I took it 7 days before my missed period and got a positive result. If you do not have a period and still have those symptoms, I would take a test and then go to the doctor. When you are pregnant you bbt stays elevated somewhat but usually not that much of a temp change. Either way, I would go to the doctor and tell them your concern. Even if you think you may be pregnant, start taking prenatals now. Try not to worry, the flu is sometimes just that.

Elevation due to pregnancy in temperature is usually 0.06 of a degree which is why we use Basel Thermometers... it sounds like more of a low grade fever then pregnancy. You're just going to have to wait i'm affraid. You ovulate at 14 days on a 38 day cycle???? That means you have a 24 day leutal phase? That's impossible, the highest ever recorded leutal phase is 18 days! Eggs just don't survive that long i'm sorry. You really need to see a doctor.

Doesn't sound like pregnancy to me. Flu-like illnesses can take a couple of weeks to clear. I'd wait a week and if still not feeling better, check with doctor.
