She wasn't looking for anything. "Wherefore" does not mean "Where", it means "why".
She was asking rhetorically why he's a Montague, her family's sworn enemy.

I actually think that, the way Shakespeare used the language in Romeo and Juliet is really sweet and beautiful " Romeo,Romeo wherefore art thou Romeo..."

Right. Wherefore actually means "why". so she's not asking where Romeo is, but why he is from the family he is from. She can't love him because his family is her family's sworn enemy. So she's musing on that fact saying that if his name was anything other than Romeo they would be free to love each other (this is the other part of the monologue...a rose by any other name...) She thinks it is cruel that he is a Montague while she's a Capulet.

"Wherefore art thou" means "why are you called". She is wishing he came from a different family so that they could be together. As long as he's known as Romeo Montague, they can't be together because their families won't allow it.

Romeo is his name, we all think that Romeo is a name for someone who romances, but Juliet is looking for the person she is fond of! Calling for him and looking for him and instantly he shows up, awwww!

have you ever had this feeling that no matter how hard you try, you can never completely "know" another person? i think w.s. may have had this in mind. "romeo? what are you all about? just when i think i understand, a look in your eye or something you say throws me off. help me understand you, romeo"

i thing that was a rhetorical question, even if she had him right in frond of her face ,she would still wonder where he was , really meaning to ask if he truly loved her or played a game because she had just learned that he was the son of her family's foe.
