I feel your pain. I've had asthma for 14 years now and have seen several doctors. The truth is, there is no known cure for asthma at the moment. But the symptoms can be prevented. It really depends on what causes your brother's asthma. Mine is usually dust and hot weather. But I think the universal method is using the control inhaler.
I cured my Asthma the natural way?

There is no known "cure" but maybe you are just looking for things to help alleviate the symptoms and perhaps slow the progress of the disease.
Ephedra, that most controversial of herbs, is the best natural broncho-dilator on the planet. Use 1 teaspoon herb to 1 cup boiling water; infuse 10-15 minutes; take 1/2 to 1 cup 2-3 times daily.
Lobelia or Pleurisy root will relieve spasms. In Chinese medicine, ginkgo biloba is widely used for asthma.
High salt intake is linked with chest diseases. Supplement with Vitamin B-6, 50-100 mg; Vitamin C, 500 mg; Vitamin E, 400 iu; Magnesium; Zinc; 2 teaspoons Cod Liver Oil daily.

Asthmatic here!
No cure, but is very manageable, so keep your chin up!
Garlic clears bronchials. If you don't want to blow ppl away with its odor, there's always garlic pills, but aren't as effective as its cultivar and bulbous counterpart as its allicin content is compromised during processing.
I've eradicated dairy and simple sugar from my diet. Why? Phlegm!!! Dairy/sugar is phlegm producing and that's an enemy of your bronchials. So, stay away from dairy and simple sugars at all costs, or minimize them at the very least.
Water--the purified and/or distilled kind. I cannot stress this enough and the result speaks for itself so, get out that water purifier and hook it up to your kitchen's faucet!
This is a no-brainer: Do you have a dog? a cat? Their dander tends to trigger asthma. How about a smoker living anywhere in the house or building? another asthma trigger. What about household cleaners? Try a concoction of baking soda, lemon juice and distilled vinegar to wipe off those kitchen counter tops in place of that stinky ammonia/bleach.
Last but certainly not least....EXERCISE!!! Weight lifting, pilates/yoga, all types of cardio...the list goes on, so get out there and workout your lungs!
While asthma can be debilitating, by simply taking the right precautions, you can enjoy your life with few to no triggers or attacks.
Good luck and breathe freely!

I went to an allergist and found out what I was ellergic to. In addition, I quit drinking milk and consuming milk products. This helped me and I am completely off asthma meds. I only take nasarel to keep the swelling down in my nasal passages. It kept me off anti-biotics for almost 2 years. I used to have frequent sinusitus. Seeing a doc is a must for asthma because it can be deadly. You are better off taking some meds than being dead, at least in most cases.

Have you tried eliminating dairy from your diet? I suffered my whole life with asthma until I stopped consuming dairy and started taking small doses of natural ephedrine...this is the one I use:

Also...explore this website:

The first step is BELIEVING that you can and will be well...that you do not NEED meds for the rest of your life...and that you WILL breathe normally again!!!
You'll see!!
I'm very healthy now and there was a time when I could barely get up a flight of stairs without losing my breath....the toxins in dairy are a direct link to breathing problems...also a lack of sunlight and dependency on meds only makes matters worse.
I wish you the BEST !!!!!!!

There is no cure for asthma. And there is nothing natural you can use to treat it. Take the medication that your doctor has prescribed and stay away from the things you know will trigger an asthma attack.

First off you must cleanse your house of all toxic chemicals - basically all the store brand cleaning and laundry supplies, as well as any scented candles or aerosol sprays that you may use. I can provide you with a link to a store that offers better, safer consumable products that won't cost you any more than you're paying for store brand, chemical laden products - check out
