Dihybrid crosses are possible and common.
Dihybrid just means that someone is studying two traits at the same time.

Monohybrid crosses study one trait at a time.

I'm confused..if it's not possible they have been teaching biology wrong for years.

And to make it a little clearer.

When two dihybrids with the same genotype are mated together the result is a dihybrid cross.
