Good for you. I bet your friends are glad too. If you just started to exercise and sweat a lot, it is stuff that has been accumulating from lack of sweating. Also you were probably sweating continually while smoking and didn't notice it. It will probably stabilize soon. Also you may be exercising harder than you did before due to better oxygen supply and more energy. Keep up the exercise, a lot of people gain wt after quitting due to better health, You may have to cut back on your food because your body is healthier and needs less energy for repair.

I have heard that your body does get rid of the toxins through the skin pores. A man who quit even told me that after he went into a steam room, he had a "yellowish" stain on his towel after wiping off his skin, which he thought was the residue from years of smoking.

I don't know if any of this is true, but I have heard this from more than one person.

Congratulations on stopping smoking. We are the same age. I want to quit also. You are an inspiration to me.

Good luck to you.

You might want to consult with your doctor before exercising further! In all likelyhood your body is probably laboring a little as you get back into your exercise routine. But it would be a good idea to call your physician and ask for his/her advice.

GREAT JOB ON QUITTING!!!!!

You deserve a big pat on the back because I personally know how hard it can be to quit (5 years now).

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
