and if you've got time after all that, you have to put a broom up your ars* and sweep the floor.

As a secretary, you would be expected to manage the managers - make sure they are in the right place at the right time with the right paperwork. You would also be required to field mail and phone calls, coordinate diaries, take care of the office environment ie stationery control, office safety etc. You would need to work very much on your own initiative and be able to anticipate what the manager's might require. There's also typing up stuff, compiling correspondence ready for signature, the list is endless!

The secretaries are pivotal to the running of an office and should not be under-valued; if anyone underestimates their secretarial and admin support, just take a few minutes to think how you might cope if they weren't there!

Polish her nails, make private phone calls, powder her nose, whinge,tut, be rude to people, think about what she going to do that night, try to remember what she did the night before and ask daft questions on Yahoo.
