I had my 11 and a half week appt. today and the baby's hb was 158....is that ok?? My dr. said it was fine but she was in a real hurry and a horrible mood. She just got out of surgery. I just want to double check with you girls if you think its ok. Thanks so much.

Yeah mine was at 160 when I went in at your stage and it never went below 156, I am now 22 weeks pregnant with a beautiful baby boy. 100% boy

First of all - if your Dr. is in a hurry and can't spend time with you no matter what they are doing, then FIND ANOTHER DR> You want the best and you want someone you feel comfortable with and who takes time to talk to you. It is early in the pregnancy and you should find one now- Just my opinion.

And yes, that is a normal heart rate.

Yes that sounds great. Babies hbs are much much higher than that of adults. Sounds like a healthy baby!

Anything 120-180 is fine. And according to myth(possible truth) you are having a girl!

Yeah its okay, babies heartbeats are alot faster than an adults. You should talk to your doctor or change doctors, if you aren't comfortable with something because of her being in a bad mood... you are her patient, she needs to be there for you.

thats perfect. Nothing to worry about. maybe your doctor was a just a bit frazzled today.

don't worry. If the doctor said its ok, then its ok. They wouldn't lie to you jsut becasue they're hurried.

That is perfectly normal./..anything in the high 130's to 160's range is acceptable...

yes it is fine. Dr's do have hard days and we have to give the best of them a break. once in awhile.
