Which is better, the old ones or the new ones?

old ones by far. too much cgi in the new ones

Well it depends the old ones were scary to me at the time cuz I was really little lol but now when I see them there not so scary and then the new ones I don't know they just don't make them scary anymore I mean it's like now a days they really don't care to make a movie plot scary it's almost always the same a group of people that are stranded somewhere are being chased and killed by someone it kinda gets BORING after a while of seeing people make movies with the same plots.. I mean don't get me wrong I LOVE SCARY MOVIES but I don't know there is just to many wannabe scary movies I guess you can say lol and not enough ACTUAL HORROR FILMS!

The older horror movies are by far better. But from time to time there are some new ones that are good.

The only old horror flick one that still freaks me out is
"Nightmare on Elm Street #1". Now that's a horror film back in ti's day.
I like the new Horrors now, as they seem to reach more into the
"soul" of true human fears like torture, gore and excessive violence.
Example - The "Saw" movies, and "Hostel".

The old, the new ones are to competitive to be the gorriest. the old ones would send a chill up ur spine in a second. What new movies are better than psycho halloween the haunting (the old like 1970 one) omg the old black and white scary movies back in vincent price's hay day the best.

The old, definitely. Nothing they make anymore scares me like Psycho or The Shining did (and still do). There have been a few good ones made recently (e.g., The Descent), but on the whole, they just seem to be making films just to make money, not to make anyone scared. I think the Japanese do it the best. Ever seen Audition?? OH MY GOD! Scariest movie ever.

It dedpends some of the old ones are better then again some of the new ones are real good so theres a mix.

I'll go for the old ones . . . because horror movies these days are made in a green walls you know what i mean! computer graphics!

New ones. it looks more real and not just like a plastic mask on the actors face. Like the ring. if that was a real old movie it'll suck.

the old ones are still the classics, but with the new original (not remake) ones are pretty good with the advancement of make-up and special effects.
