i cant go to sleep but if i take the pill will the pain reliever do anything to me

Using a sleep aid with a pain reliever will eventually damage your liver..you can get over the counter sleep aids without the pain reliever.

I have used Tylenol PM to sleep. It has not hurt me at all. The pain reliever should not hurt you at all. The only time Tylenol is a problem is if you take too much of it. If you are on no other medications that contain Tylenol you should be fine.

I currently take Tylenol PM every night, however, I have been thinking about liver damage. I think I am going to go to the Dr. for a prescription sleep aide.

The tylenol potentiates or makes stronger the ingredient in Tylenol PM that helps you sleep. I think it works great!

tylenol pm has an active sleep aide which happens to be the same drug as benadryl (its called dyphenhydramine)
if you ever wake up in the morning feeling stiff and sore, use tylenol pm to prevent that-- if that is never a problem, but you just have trouble sleeping, just use benadryl (even the generic will do- and is much cheaper)
if you have taken benadryl in the past with no results, you may want to see you dr for a sleep aide

If you must take something to help you sleep I would look at unisom. It has the same ingredient the tylenol pm does. It is the same without the acetominophen which is hard on your liver.

:) its also a sleep-aid, read the box, it's on there. Just don't take it after 9-10 cause anything later and you will over-sleep. Just take 1, not 2

I used to take tylonel pm EVERY night before i went to bed just so i could sleep then i started taking niquil and realized that i do not want my liver damaged so i went to the doctor and got a sleep aid i wouldnt take it anymore just go to the doctor and tell them you cant sleep(:
