I really like molly fish and every time I get some from pet smart they die. I've had dalmatian molly's, black molly's, and creamsicle molly's. I don't really think I'm doing anything wrong. I raise betta fish. I also have gourami's gold fish, chilids, and puffer fish and they never seem to die. Does anyone have any advice on what I might be doing wrong?

is your molly tank cycled? google "nitrogen cycle" if you don't know what I mean. Also, i hate to say it, but sometimes petsmart's fish come home already sick. You may have some disease in your molly tank that is killing them. That happened to me. I have three tanks, anything put in one of the tanks would die, but my other two tanks were fine. That tank is now home to a leopard gecko ;)

To prevent this, all new fish should be quarantined in a seperate tank for a while to make sure they are healthy before going in a community tank. If they are sick, they need to be treated before being moved.

Congrats on the little ones! holding the fry seperate is strictly what you ought to do. I had fish that were basicaly an identical as mollys, or perhaps as they'd fry, I kept the fry seperate, and to feed them I gave them overwhelmed up flakes. And only in case, be particular you save the cyber web faraway from the clear out so as that they don't get sucked up into it. also, its popular for many them to die, becuase they're so youthful and fragile. So do not get discouraged. Congrats and sturdy success!

I would say make sure you are feeding them on a scheduled time and watch them to see if they are actually eating..
make sure the water is at ideal temperature and that there is enough of space for it to roam around..
good luck
