Playing audio from PC on stereo?

Hi, I caught the end of a piece about a gizmo that plugs into the back of stereo speakers, and enables you to listen to any audio from your PC through them on TV the other day. Does anyone know where I can get hold of one of these, or what it's called?

Use the gadget i take advantage of for my music from my laptop to my stereo, it hooks as much as my laptop by utilizing way of usb and on the gadget there's a fiber optical output, which you will then use to hook into your stereo equipment.
