UTI's are very uncomfortable. Some of the supplements I have used for mine, and recommend to those who have a UTI are marshmallow, cranberry, parsley, uva ursi, garlic & acidophilus.
THese can all be bought in your local health store, and together, will ease the discomfort of a UTI within a few hours, and kick the infection out within a few days.
THe most important of these listed, though, is the Uva Ursi. It is proven to kick out some of the worst UTI, that even cranberry and antibiotics had a hard time getting rid of.

You may have to go to your MD for some antibiotics.Continue with the cranberry juice, don't leave out the water. The yogurt is fine, but it may take a week or to make any difference.Azo is a "urinary tract antiseptic" not an antibiotic.Take care. SW RNP

There is this stuff called U-Tract. What it is is pure D-Mannose, which is the stuff in cranberry juice. What it does is slicks the walls of the bladder so that the bacteriophages cannot adhere. It works great. You will have to look on the net- I got mine from my mom who ordered it from Kordial Products- I think they are out of Irving Texas. I have only had a couple infections, but after the second dose of this stuff all my pain was gone. Good luck

All of these things can help the symptoms of a UTI, but will not cure it. You will need to go to the doctor and get anti-biotics to cure it for good, this is the only thing that will get it to go away. In the meantime drink plenty of cranberry juice and water to wash out the bacteria. The AZO pills or Uristat pills will help with the pain and frequent need to urinate.

it may be more than a uti. your case isn't severe or else you would not be asking questions. you would be in the bed or at the doctors office. do not drink any soda, tea, or fruit juice. these all have sugars that assist bacteria with their deed. if you don't want to visit md. then drink lots of water and take you azo.
i have heard that drinking an alka-seltzer works. never tried this remedy, but i'm certainly going to give it a try if i ever have another uti.

Antibiotics are dumb, and if you take them get some pro-biotics to re balance your digestive system after wards. Cranberry helps, but it is best to get the whole berry (no sugar) and eat quite a few. There is a sugar radical (I think it is xylitol) that a friend of mine uses to good effect. The easiest fastest cheapest safest thing is vitamin c. Take it to bowel tolerance (until it begins to soften your stool) and within three days your UTI should be gone. They discovered this about 50 years ago when doing a test on "C". A number of people in the double blind had UTI's and they were all cleared up in a few days.

No yogurt. If the Azo, juice & water aren't working, you need to go to your physician and get an antiobiotic prescribed. It sounds like this UTI is just a little too tough for home remedy.

i take cranberry in capsule form you can buy it at walmart or drug stores. then also drink lots of water, and you can also do cranberry juice. i start with big dose of like 4 then take 2 to 3 more doses of 2 that day and keep up 3 to 4 doses of two for like another week, keep taking them a few days after symptoms clear up to prevent it from reoccuring.
