I have been using Nair, but not the waxing kind because I didn't want it to be obvious to my mom. I know not to shave it off. I'm not full mexican, but my dad was half so my hair is dark brown and the mustache shows up more. I want to get rid of it without making it obvious.

I like Nair, because it keeps it gone for a week or two and when it grows back the hairs are lighter! Are there any risks with this?

You don't have to wax. Waxing is painful and only lasts a couple weeks or less anyways. Nair is only okay to use on your face if the bottle says it can be used on the face. Usually, you are not supposed to use it on your face, because of the risks associated with getting it in your eyes, mouth, lips, etc.

Have you tried a facial hair bleach? For about $5 or less, you can buy a hair bleach that is made specifically for your face. It will not remove the hairs, it just bleaches them so they are blonde and unnoticeable.

I've used Nair, waxed OUCH!!!!!!, and bleached to make lighter. Since I was a teen. Depending on your age I'd stick with the Nair for now. You can go to most beauty salons where they can do it for you, but the results I have found last as long as doing it at home. To get rid of it permenantly you need electolisis which is pricey and may need multiple visits .

Other than irritation, I do not believe that there are any risks. I'm Hispanic and like you have dark hair and after using creams and waxing for many years I made my problem worse the hair is now as thick as as the hair on my eyebrows. I have finally taken the step to have it removed by laser. I got a good deal, it's a 12 month session and I have already gone for 3 months and the hair is almost completely gone. I highly recommend laser removal.

I use an electric thing called EMJOY. It is like tweezers but work fast. When you use it do not wash your face before, it is less painfull when it is unwashed. This will give you the result of waxing.
