I'm sorry if I offend any blode out there, but I had never believed that statement about blondes, but I just recently moved to a city where predominantly there's more blondes than anything else, and every blonde I work with and blonde friend that I have, seems to always be lost, don't get the jokes, or get the joke 5 hours later.... they make them self look ''dumb''. I love them all... I think they are the hottest chicks in the world. I just want to get some opinions of people around here to see what they think on this subject. Is it me or does it just happen to be the blondes that I come in contact with?

hhhmmm... That's a good questions! I think there's all kinds of blondes as much as there's brunettes. There's dumb blondes, and then there's dumb brunettes. There's smart blondes, and there's smart brunettes. Maybe it's not a matter of hair color or skin color, it's all about how they were raised. And how they were raised depends on their cultures and traditions. However I do believe that every nationality is distinguished by something, wether it's negative or positive. In this case I would rather say that that most blondes are just funny aka: "dumb" (in a good way) cuz I also have blonde friends and they crack me up all the time. They may do it to be funny or it may come naturally, like the girl above mentioned, which I thought was cool that she acknoledged it. There's a reason why people say: "She's having a blonde moment!"

I don't know how any intelligent person could think hair color could possibly affect a person's intelligence (no offense, KB24). If your friend is intellectually challenged, she would be so if she were a brunette. You just wouldn't notice it as readily because blondes in this culture are stereotyped to be dumb, so you were prejudiced from the start. Besides, most "dumb blonde" celebrities are actually not true blondes. For example, Paris Hilton, Marilyn Monroe, even Jessica Simpson's natural hair color is light brown, not blonde.

permit's see....i'm a brunette, yet my daughter is a blonde going into 4th grade and she or he excels in math....my sister, additionally a blonde, is a nurse who's truly nicely spoken and truly clever....my niece, yet another blonde, is a notably respected physician, working at a nicely-known coaching well being middle. The "dumb blonde" element is purely yet another stereotype. I am a true blond, when it comes to telling blond jokes, I have trouble trying to remember the joke and when I finally do, I screw up the punch line. Luckily I have a good sense of self and find my blond ways very funny.
Joke: Did you hear about the blond who drove down the one way the wrong way?,......It was me!!!!!
I love that one, I made it up when I did this on the way to a meeting trying to find a parking place. Arrragh!!*##*
So...the answer is yes we are kinda dumb but usually in a good, funny way. Laugh with us and you will live much longer.

I believe that when there's a popular stereotype about a specific group, we tend to subconsciously fit a person into that stereotype without further thought.
Blondes aren't any dumber than the rest of us.

i am not a blonde... i used to be. but it all depends on the person. sometimes blondes act dumb to get attention or beacuse the reputation of blondes is how they act.

I don't think there's been a study, but I don't see how hair colour relates to intelligence if skin colour doesn't.
