No. I think claiming that you need to strip to put yourself through college is just an excuse for being an exhibitionist and having your ego stroked. There are plenty of other jobs that one could get. Most people manage to get through college without resorting to promiscuous activities.

The important thing to remember about stripping, is the double standard in most the world. Women who express any sort of sexual aggressiveness are seen in a negative light, while men who do so are seen as "virile" and "macho."

Years from now, the fact that you're a former stripper may come back to haunt you, and you might find yourself known as little more than "The Former Stripper."

One of my friends put herself through college belly dancing. Even though she danced at bachelor parties and had dollar bills stuffed in her waistband, she never suffered any backlash in later life, simply because people don't have the same negative connotation with belly dancing as they do with stripping.

Only you can decide if there are any real moral issues with stripping. Personally, I see nothing wrong with it and view a woman who put herself through college stripping as having found a grand way to monetize the male libido. However, as you can see from some of the replies here, there are people who see it as debasing, sinful or outright evil.

Your future interactions with folks like that are going to be the potential hurdle.

I believe that God wants us to save our bodies for our spouse. If you are showing it off then you are disgracing your body. Not meaning to sound like a preacher, but your body is God's temple. I would try working as a waitress or starting your own business. Find a passion and go for it! Like if you are smart in math, become a tutor! (you can earn quite a bit from that!) I don't know what being a stripper pays, but I earned 60 dollars for 2 hrs of tutoring!!

Anything involving strippers, pornography and the like are contributing to the delinquency of the world. These things send bad messages to the world and they shouldn't exist. What people do in their own homes is their business...but having strippers, porn shops, etc...available for public view is wrong, in my opinion. It stems from evilness. Strippers and porn stars do these things out of low self-esteem or greed for quick, easy money. Their minds aren't in the right place and they have low morals. If you don't stand for something...you'll fall for anything. Great motto.

It's OK even if you use the money on parties & comic books. Look at the chick on CSI Las Vegas! She was a stripper & made lots of good friends, now she's in the police force.

I used to strip-for 2 years acually-it got me though rough times with money ( my husband did not approve but it helped us until he got done with school). Don't let the party life over come you though. People will want to go out with you-I went out some but I knew who my real friends are. Stay true to yourself and finish school-you won't be pretty for ever, Good Luck.

It is your body, do what you want with it.

I think the question you are trying to answer is one that we can't help you with.

Do you feel it is ok to be a stripper?

Its ok as long as you're ok with it. The opinions of others are not valid. You have to ask yourself if its ok with you.
