Only time will tell. Nothing yet!

The weather never slows New York City down, where I am (in TriBeCa working, then Brooklyn). Subways, walking.. is the meaning of urban life. Everything is 1-2-3 blocks away (walking), so the car can stay under the snow all it wants. Shoveling snow and letting the kids play in it, is something we look FORWARD to, and don't dred. We love the stuff! (plus, we have all this salt stock-piled for years, NYC does.. so, they'd like to use some tonight!)

I don't know about the Northeast, but if what was in the Midwest moves to you, then it isn't media hype. I'm in Indiana and we already have 6 in, and we're supposed to get more.

well it ain't hype i live in the midwest and i just got finished cleaning off my moms car..we got at least 8"....10"-12" in some areas...its real trust me....if you live in the NE then u might wanna "hunker" down cuz the storm is moving very slow and building power as it goes...its bitterly cold in the negatives...all the schools in the area are closed and it will probably continue through 2morrow...
if you don't beleive me then just wait...

there's already been a lot of snow here (slightly north of Philadelphia, PA) today. our school hadn't had any snow day or delay at all this year, but did has now had an early dismissal. We got out of school at 12:00 today because of the snow!! It's now been snowing nonstop since 7:00-ish this morning, and is supposed to continue until late tomorrow night. very cool (for me, as a highschool student anyway)! ;)

It's always media hype. This snow here in SW PA is more annoying than anything, just enough to make driving a pain.

I am at work...it's still snowing.

When I leave I have to go to the store because I honestly need milk today, but I am afraid by the time I get there, all of it will be gone along with the toilet paper (which thankfully I have plenty of)

since we havent had much of any snow this season
the media has to do something about the storm.
not looking forward to it cause I have to deal with it
being one of the jackasses in the media

I'm thinking hype. Probably gonna be a manageable amount. just enought to make work annoying, but not enough to shut 'er down.
