It's Brasilia: a city built from scratch in in the middle of nowhere back in the 50's (and completed in 1960) purposely for a capital city so that it Will encourage the people to come and develop Brazil's interior regions. Up to that time, most of Brazil's people and industries had been concentrating in the Southeast area of the country, along the Atlantic coast, near Rio de Janeiro which was then the capital and the second biggest city (it's still the 2nd largest city); and also around Sao Paulo, the country's largest city.

Capital of the Republic is Brasilia, but the cultural capital is Rio de Janeiro (because of its naturals beauties), Financial capital is São Paulo (the biggest city from Brazil) and many other "capitals". Capital of grapes, capital of ugliness, etc. etc. etc. Brazil, in fact, is full of capitals...
