Canada - Russia hands down. Since 1972, these teams have been the powers, you have the brawl in 1986, the Canada Cups, the world Juniors. So many games. Best two hockey nations.

Followed by

Maple Leafs- Canadiens
Maple Leafs-Flyers
Bruins-Canadiens
Oilers-Flames
Flyers-Rangers
Red Wings-Blackhawks
Rangers-Islanders or Devils (depending on who is better)
Michigan-Michigan State
Belleville Bulls-Kingston Frontinacs
Oshawa Generals-Peterborough Petes
London Knights-Kitchener Rangers

Newer rivals
Sabres-Maple Leafs
Betteman-NHL Fans

Dying rivals
Red Wings-Maple Leafs
Blackhawks-Maple Leafs
Avalanche-Red Wings
Bruins-Rangers
Penguins-Capitals (hopefully being reborn again)

I have a few favorite rivalries:

Rangers vs Islanders

Rangers vs Devils

Rangers vs Flyers

Any of these three could be the greatest hockey rivalry. If you are looking for a historic rivalry, look no further than the Bruins vs Canadiens.

Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens. Everyone knows that. They're the two most winning Stanley Cup teams.

Flames vs Oilers any day of the week. These two teams...make that cities hate each other. I've been to pre-season games where fights have broken out in the stands between Flames and Oilers fans...PRE-SEASON!!

If you've never experienced the Battle of Alberta (a rivalry so big, it has its own name) then you should come out and see it live!!

in all likelihood Montreal vs. Boston pondering they have performed an insane 31 playoff sequence hostile to at least one yet another. notwithstanding in view that Montreal has been fairly dominant (24-7) traditionally in those matchups perchance it is actual Toronto vs. Detroit. they have met 23 circumstances in the playoffs (2d maximum) and Toronto leads narrowly 12-11 all time.
