I have to say the Anna Nicole Smith situation is sad. No parent should have to go through a death of their child and its sad that her daughter will never know her mother. But before that the only time we would hear about Anna was when she was in court for the $$, for TrimSpa or small things.
Now that she has sadly died she is all over the news, where ever you look its about her. So why obsess over her now?
That and the whole 'Whos the Daddy' thing is kind of a waste of time to me, just to a DNA test and get it over with.

I don't know if you've seen the movie "The Queen", but that's another great example of the media pouncing on the death of a celebrity. Those in the movie and television industry don't seem to have a high opinion of the peoples' intelligence, thus they assume we obsess over celebrities and everything that entails. Some people do, but not the general public. That's just my guess as to why they won't stop talking about her.

The reason that she is all over the news is b/c her life in the past year was just a train wreck. She had who knows how many law suits, fighting over her late husband's estate, she was pregnant, her 20 y.o son dies, paternity was sought between the two men b/4 she died, and that's just the stuff we know about. Now there are about four men saying the baby is theirs. The only person who seems to be in it for the long haul was Birkhead. I never really had a feeling one way or the other for Anna but for some reason, I am almost consumed with the media attention that it's all getting. I don't know why, but I have to read every article, watch every T.V. show about her, and look up all people involved in the stories. I am typically not this OCD>lol>

Actually she's been on ET for the last few months, lots of her in the media before she died. You are only noticing it now because she's dead. Subconciously you must have flipped channels when her name has been mentioned.
